German Methodist Church, Spencer

I am trying to find any history/info on the German Methodist Church in Spencer. I am researching a Rev. Wm. Hein who left Sun Prairie, WI to served German M.E. churches in SD and IA. His service record includes Spencer 1900-1904. I have a hint that he was there when a church was built. I am assuming they merged with the English Methodists in the early 1930's . I have tried contacting the pastor at the United Methodist Church, but got no reply. Any background infomation is greatly appreciated.
