EVJY surname in Clay County

EVJY

Looking for anyone with information on the Evjy family who resided in Clay County as far back as 1895, to present day. The progenitor of this line was Samson Evjy, who, with his wife Malinda/Ellen, and eldest son, Edd, came from Norway to Illinois around 1883, and to Clay County by the 1890s and later to Dickinson County. Near as I can figure, only three of their children were living in the US in 1900. Edd/Edward, born in Norway @1881, Celia, b. IL @1884 and Andre/Andrew, b. IL @1886. I have a pretty good theory that four other children born in Norway died in infancy. I have census data on this family and Edd's, but am looking for anyone with further, non-census information relating to this family.

Will happily share information I have on a long line of descendants.

Some likely Iowans of this name would be descendants of one of two sons of Edd. Orville is one, and I can't currently remember the name of the other.

Many Thanks,

Jared
