Hello Kathy,
I did a search for Anna Marie Schuldt back in Jan. 2006 and yes, she is buried in lot 16N in St. John's cemetery which is 6 miles south of Peterson on Blacktop M27, just across the road from the Christian Children's Home. The dates on her stone read: 1854 - 1895. I couldn't find an obit for her, but did find an article in the Feb. 21, 1895 Peterson Patriot, which read:
DIED - At her home in Brooke township, Saturday, Feb. 16, of blood poison, Mrs. John Shuldt. The deceased leaves a husband and ten small children to mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Meinzer and the remains were interred in the cemetery at the Evangelical Lutheran church. THE PATRIOT extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
Her death record from Buena Vista Co. states:
Schult, Mary 42yrs, 5mos, Housekeeper d.2/16/1893 born Germany, died Brooke twp of puerperal peritonitis.
Hope this helps Let me know if you need more.
