EVERLY (Special): Mrs. Henry Thee of May City, formerly of Everly, passed away Wednesday, January 10, at 7:30 a.m. from cancer. She had been ill for several months. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, and three grandchildren, also three brothers and five sisters living in Germany.

Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church at May City Friday afternoon, January 12, the pastor of the Lutheran church of Ocheyedan officiating. Interment was in the Lone Tree cemetery near Everly.

Maria Reimer was born February 4, 1879, in Bockland, Germany. She was married October 1, 1905, to Henry Thee of Schleswig. To this union two daughters and one son were born. The latter died in infancy. The daughters are Mrs. Albert Hoeppner of Moneta and Mrs. Elmer Lohse of Lake Park.

Mr. and Mrs. Thee came from Germany to the United States in March, 1914, and settled near Everly. For about 18 years they lived on what is known as the Lone Tree farm, two and one-half miles southwest of Everly. In 1932 they moved to Osceola county, locating on a farm near May City where was the family home at the time of Mrs. Thee's death.
