Death of Randall Parsons

Randall Parsons was born in the village of Coltishall, Norfolk, England January 9, 1830. He came to America in 1850 living in New York state four years. He then moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where he lived one year when he wont to Berline, Wisconsin, and lived in that vicinity 13 years.

While living there he saved enough money to send to England for his mother and intended wife, Elizabeth Reed. After his marriage he lived in Wisconsin, until moving to Spencer, where his wife died. Three years later he went to England and married Rosa Chastney, May 23, 1893. Owing to the severe illness of his wife they remained in England two years, coming to Spencer, June 12, 1895, where they have lived ever since excepting one year spent in Missouri, and four and one-half years at Okoboji. They came back to Spencer last November on account of ill health. He passed away at his home in Spencer Aug. 8, 1913.

He leaves to mourn his loss a devoted wife, who has tenderly cared for him through a long and distressing illness, two nieces, Mrs. Wm. Bell and Mrs. Mary Philpott, of Redwood Falls, Minn.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. A. M. Leichleiter were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and the remains were interred in Riverside cemetery.
