Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer Clapper who died Tuesday evening at her home, 119 West Eighth Street after a short illness will be held Friday afternoon, July 24 at two o'clovk at the Cobb Funeral Chapel in charge of the Rev. G.D. Serrill, pastor of the First Church oc Christ

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery

Mrs. Clapper, whos maiden namde was Effie Belle Hanna, was born July 16, 1877 at Canton, Iowa and at the time of her death was 65 years of age. She was the daughter of P.A. and Cornelia Ann (Canon) Hanna and came with her parents to northwest Iowa when a child. She had been a resident of Clay County for 58 years

She was married on February 1, 1911 to Elmer S. Clapper, their marriage taking place in spencer where they have since resided

Besides her husband, Mrs. Clapper is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Vande Mark of Lake Park, Mrs. Ruby Sunkenburg of near Spencer and Mrs. Marjorie Simington of near Dickens

Ther are also four grandchildren, one sister and two brothers. The sister is Mrs. Maggie Cooley of Spencer. The brothers are Thomas and lester Hanna of near Spencer

Mrs. Clapper had been ill for only a few days, her death being due to a heart attack
