Edward Cecil Fellingham, 81, Spencer, died September 23, 1995
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Timothy Schott officiating
Casket bearers will be Nenny Griffiths, Bill Scarborough, Tom Howe, Stan Anderson, Bill Wendlandt
Honorary casket bearers will be Gale Birdsall, Doug Hart, Marv Harris, Dr. Lyle Frink and Elwood Rix
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Spencer, with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements
Military services will be conducted by Glen Pedersen Post #1
Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Warner Chapel, conducted by the Evening Shade Loadge #312 A.F. and A.M., Spencer
A vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. today at Warner Chapel
Edward Cecil Fellingham, the son of Richard A. and Katherine (Kelly) Fellingham, was born August 10, 1914 in Norfolk, Nebraska. He received his education in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School
On September 11, 1934, he married Josephine Niedermeyer in Long Beach, California. Following their marriage, Mr. Fellingham joined the U.S. Navy and served with them until the time of his discharge in 1940. In 1943, he joined the U.S. Army and served during World War II until his discharge
Folowing his discharge from teh Armey, the couple lived in Onawa before moving to Spencer in 1947. While living in Spencer, Mr. Fellingham worked for Council Oak Grocery and later managed the Swanson Grocery Store for nearly 27 years. He retired in 1979 and in his retirement drove cars for H&N Chevrolet of Spencer
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Spencer, the Masonic Loadge, Shrine, the ATV Corps and the Masonic Temple Board
Mr. Fellingham was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two sisters
He is survived by one son, Rich Fellingham and his wife, Alice of Ames; one daughter, Pam Fellingham of Overland Park, Kansas; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one brother, Joe of West End, North Carolina; and special friend, Jean Oestenstad
