Edward W. Breidinger, more familiarly known as Ed Breidinger, a prominent resident of Riverton Township for more than 59 years, died Saturday, June 27 at the home of his son, Harry L. Breidinger, after a brief illness. His death occurred in the home which he had occupied since March, 1895 a period of 47 years
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 1 in the Cobb Funeral Chapel at two o'clock, conduved by the Rev. Arthur Sebastian
Pallbearers were the Messrs. Ben Logan, Walter Lachner, Will Johnson, Thos Hanna, Will Rode and Louis Linemann
Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery
Edward William, son of Leonard and Sarah (Trump) Breidinger, was born in October, 1859 and at the time of his death was 82 years and 8 months of age. He was born in the state of Pennsylvania and when a lad of eight moved with his parents to Michigan
In 1883 the family came to Northwest Iowa and settled in Clay County.
On April 17, 1889, he was married to Una S. Kinney, who preceded him in death, October 23, 1924
Mr. and Mrs. Breidinger became the parents of two children, Harry L. living on the old Breidinger home farm and Mrs. Anna Purdy of Detroit, Michigan
There are also five grandchildren, four grandsons and one granddaughter
Two sisters and a brother are deceased. A brother, Norman, lives in Denver, Colorado
Mr. Breidinger was one of Clay County and Riverton Townships progressive and prominent farmers, interested in all civic movement which meant the betterment and progress of the community in which he lived
