George Alvin Butler, was born at Edgewood, Delaware county, Iowa September 20lh, 1869 passed away a his home at Milford, Iowa, October 4th 1913, aged 43 years and 14 days.
He was married to Miss Cora McCormick at Everly November 16, 1892.. Two children were born to this union a son and daughter, Lulu who was called to her heavenly home at six years of age
He bore his suffering with patience and he told his loved ones his time: had come to go, and he was not afraid to die.
He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and son, Richard, mother, Mrs. Esther Butler, two sisters, Mrs. Alta Maroon and Mrs. Rose Turcotte and a brother Carrie Butler all of Alpena, South Dakota, they were here to help care for George, but that he was better and went home.
One sister, Mrs. Turcotte returned to attend the funeral.
Two brothers, Wallace and Charley Butler live at Shelton, Washington.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Pastor being away attending conference, Rev. Grace M. Elliott, pastor of Friends church at Arnolds Park, conducted the service.
