Services for Raymond J. Paulsen, 53, of Everly will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church of Everly. Pastor Roger Hanson will officiate and burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly.
Mr. Paulsen died October 16 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Bearers will be Jean Wiegman, Willie Hartmann, Jack Harms, Merlyn Welch, Stan Schoelerman and Daryl Hausmann
Honorary bearers will be Harold Rinehart, Ronald Schoenewe, Verlyn Jipson, Edwin Monnahan, Ralph Toft and Otto Selk
Mr. Paulsen was born February 6, 1924 in rural Everly, the son of John Carl and Matilda (Wede) Paulsen. He attended school in Everly for 11 years. He moved Milford and graduated from Milford High School in 1942. He was confirmed in the Hope Lutheran Church on June 5, 1938
He married Muriel Wilkie on July 28, 1947 at Dawson, Minnesota. He farmed in the Everly area and later went to South Dakota for two years. He farmed in the Royal area until 1960 prior to moving to the farm near Everly. He was a memebr of the Everly Community Affairs, the Lion's Club and the elevator
Survivors include his widow, Muriel of Everly; three daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Knapp of Everly, Mrs. Cathi Scharnberg of Everly and Mrs. Patricia Kunzman of Royal; five grandchildren; one brother, Donald of Everly; one sister, Mrs. Shirley Lauritsen of Phoenix, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
