Robert T. Morris, 75, well known resident of Linn Grove, died Monday, January 14, at the home of his daughter Mrs. A. B. Carstensen.
Mr. Morris had been in poor health for sometime and became seriously ill a week ago. His death resulted from old age and complications.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church in Linn Grove. The funeral sermon was delivered by Rev. Robinson of Storm Lake.
Robert Tracy Morris, son of Thomas W. Morris and Elizabeth (Jones) Morris, was born
November 28, 1869, in Berlin, Wis. He lived there until 1870 when he came to Iowa with his parents, making the trip in a covered wagon. They located on a farm in Douglas township, Clay county, and here Mr. Morris remained until 1898 when he moved to Linn Grove. In 1887 he was united in marriage to Hannah Evans.
Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hannah Morris, one daughter, Mary Morris Cartensen, two granddaughters, Ruth and Elda Cartensen, one sister, Mrs. Mary Evans of South Dakota and a great many friends.
