Thomas Reno, resident of Spencer for the past eighteen years died at his home on Hough Street early Tuesday morning, April 30, 1929, following an illness of five months. His death which occurred at two o'clock was caused from a stroke of paralysis
Funeral services will be held this Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Sacred Heart Chruch of Spencer, with the Rev. Father M.C. Wendl officiating.
Burial will be made in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Reno who was born December 30, 1848 at Quebec, Canada, moved with his parents to St. Anne, Illinois at the age of twelve years.
Later he was united in marriage to Sara Shoben and in 1883, and, Mr. and Mrs. Reno moved to Iowa locating on a farm in O'Brien County, where they continued to make their home for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Reno and family resided on a farm in Clay Township.
Mr. Reno is survived by his wife and a four sons, Albert Reno of Wesley, Iowa, J.J. Reno of Ayrshire, Iowa, Addlore Reno of Los Molinois, California and Andrew Reno at home and four daughters, Mrs. J.A. Finnegan of Royal, Mrs. L.F. Ruge of Minot North Dakota, Mrs. W. Shanks of Royal Center, Indiana and Ida May Reno of Spencer, also two brothers, Nelson Reno of Colfax, North Dakota and Calis Reno of St Anne Illinois, other relatives and a host of friends.
Albert Reno of Wesley , Iowa, the son, was among those present for the funeral from out of town.

Thomas Reno a resident of Spencer for the past 18 years, died early, Tuesday morning at his home on Hough Street, following and illness of five months. His death was caused from paralysis and at the time, Mr. Reno was 81 years and 4 months old.
Thomas Reno was born in Quebec, Canada, December 30, 1848. He remained here until he was twelve years of age and at that time moved with his parents Saint Anne, Illinois, where he remained for several years.
At Saint Anne, he was united in marriage to Sara Shoben.
Mr. and Mrs. Reno remained there for a few years and then moved to Iowa and settled on a farm in O'Brien County, later moving on a farm in Clay County and Clay Township, where they lived until 18 years ago and at that time moved to Spencer.
Mr. Reno is survived by his wife and fours sons, Andrew Reno of Spencer, Albert Reno of Wesley, J.J. Reno of Ayrshire, A. Reno of Los Molinos, California, four daughters, Mrs. J.A. Finnegan of Royal, Mrs, L.F. Ruge of Minot, North Dakota and Mr. W. Shanks of Royal Center, Indiana and Miss Ida May Reno of Spencer and two brothers, Nelson reno of Colfax, North Dakota and Calis Reno of Saint Anne, Illinois
