Funeral services for Frederich Herman Wilken, 76 of Everly were held yesterday morning at Hope Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Hanson officiating
Casket Bearers were Marvin Schmidt, Gordon Wilken, Thomas Goeken, Robert Goeken, Shane Keefer and Bruce Dougal
Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly and the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer was in charge of arrangements
The son of Herman and Anna (Bokker) Wilken, he was born July 31, 1912 in Monticello, Indiana. His family moved to Everly in 1919, where he received his early education. Following his schooling he farmed west of Everly, moving to town in 1963
Mr. Wilken married Viola Keefer on March 24, 1963 at the Hope Lutheran Church. Throughout their married lice , they continued to live in Everly, where he was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and nature
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, John and Herman of Everly; five sisters, Lena Schmidt of Spencer, Gertrude Bender of Cedar Rapids, Helen Wilken of Everly, Louise Dougal of Lake Park and Clara Goeken of Moneta
