Glenn Dale Muckey, 64 Spencer, died in Spencer on Sunday December 24
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. om the United Methodist Church in Everly. The Rev. Emmanual Das will officiate
Casket bearers will be Terry, Larry, Lane and Mark Muckey, John Kuiper and Marvin Trojahn
Honorary casket bearers will be Dale Holleson, Daniel Benthin, Douglas Polson, Ron Gessinger and Bob Cuttell
Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly
The Baumgarten Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
Graveside military services will be conducted by the Everly American Legion
Mr. Muckey was born September 19, 1925 to Gilbert and Florence (Harvey) Muckey at Platte, South Dakota
He married Lenora Benthin on October 27, 1951 at Watertown, South Dakota. They lived in the Watertown area until 1954 when they moved to Moneta. He worked as a trucker, in an ice house and as a farmer and beekeeper for 20 years until he retired
Mr. Muckey was a member of the VFW and American Legion and was the mayor of Moneta for many years
He was preceded in death his father and half sister
He is survived by his wife; one daughter and her husband, Glenda and Robert Clemens of Tennessee; four sons, Terry and his wife Opal of Moneta; Larry of Moneta; Lane and his wife Joyce of Hartley; Mark and his wife LaStella of Moneta; 18 grandchildren; four brothers, Roy of Bedford, Oregon; Lloyd of Watertown, South Dakota; Del of Spencer and Lennie Baxter of Moneta; one sister, Rosie Saboe of Moneta; and his mother and Step father, Florence and Leonard Baxter of Moneta
