Frederick Mathew Hyndman 1909-1977

Frederick Mathew Hyndman, the son of Mathew and Bessie Dessem Hyndman, was born on October 10, 1909, in Cherokee County, Iowa.

He received his education in Larrabee, Iowa and later went to welding school in Des Moines, Iowa. He worked in Worthington, Minnesota for a short time and then went to California for about one year.

Fred married Genevieve Shouse on June 8, 1940, in Nashua, Iowa.

In 1945, Mr. Hyndman opened his own welding shop in Everly and has been there ever since.

Fred married Nelma Marie Henning on September 18, 1971, in Sioux City, Iowa.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Everly and The Columbian Lodge #560 A.F. & A.M. of Everly for many years.

Mr. Hyndman was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Genevieve on December 30, 1970; and one sister.

Fred is survived by his wife, Nelma of Everly; one son, David Hyndman of K. I. Sawyer A. F. B. in Michigan; one daughter, Kathleen Jean – Mrs. Robert Mayberry of S. Sioux City, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Velma Steurmann of Spring Valley, California; one brother, Max Hyndman of Tacoma, Washington; other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Hyndman died on February 11, 1977, at the Baum-Harmon Memorial Hospital in Primghar, Iowa at the age of 67 years.
