Services for Frederick W. Haberman, 89 of Royal will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Warner Chapel. The Rev. Roger Hanson will officiate.
Casket bearers will be Stan Schoelerman, Arnold Kruse, Jim Olson, Bill Haberman, David Kruse and Donald Nielsen
Mr. Haberman died Wednesday in McAllen, Texas
Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly.
The son of William and Wilhelmina (Asmussen) Haberman, he was born May 29, 1896, in Clay County. After receiving his education in the Lone Tree Township Country Schools. Mr. Haberman started to farm in the Royal and Everly areas.
He married Florence Petersen in May of 1931. She died in 1962
He married Elvira Hadenfeldt, September 11, 1965. They continued to live in the Royal area and for the last 15 years or so, he had been living in McAllen, Texas during the winter months
Mr. Haberman was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Royal.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; one child; one brother and three sisters.
Survivors include his second wife; one son, Roger of Everly; two daughters, Kathleen Larson of Columbia, Maryland and Ruth Martin of Madison, Wisconsin; six grandchildren; one brother, Pete of Marathon; and one sister, Johanna Steffen of Spencer
