Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at Everly for Mrs. Maggie Jurgens, mother of Richard Jurgens of this city and also of Mrs. Bertha Mangels.
She passed away at 6:30 Tuesday morning, Christmas day, the cause of her death being heart disease and complications. She had been in failing health for about nine months.
She was 86 years old at the time of her death.
Mrs. Jurgens, who was the widow of Fritz Jurgens, was born March 8, 1868, the daughter of John and Sophia Jurgens and died at her home in Everly December 25, 1934.
Her husband preceded her in death 6 years ago.
Six sons and one daughter remain to mourn her passing. They are Gus Jurgens and Will Jurgens of Everly, Richard Jurgens of Hartley, John Jurgens of Bingham Lake, Minnesota, Ed. Jurgens of Bennett, Fred Jurgens of Ogden, Utah and Mrs. Bertha Mangels of Hartley.
