Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Floyd Holdren, 31, of Moorland, who died last Friday, May 1, at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge. He was taken ill Sunday, April 26, with pneumonia, and when his condition became critical was taken to the Fort Dodge hospital.
Services were held at the Harry Lundquist home Monday and at the Church of Christ. Rev. C.E. Lundquist officiated at the home service, and Rev. Forrest L. Richeson, Christian pastor, at the latter rites.
Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
Floyd Arthur Holdren was born February 10, 1905 at Sioux Rapids, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Z.T. Holdren, who live at 495 East Ninth street. At his death he was 31 years two months and 20 days old.
In 1913 his parents moved to Royal where Floyd attended school. In 1929 he went to Rockwell City, accepting a .position in a garage as a mechanic.
On April 17, 1929, he was united in marriage to Ilean Lundquist of Spencer. To this union were born two children, Phyllis and Juanita.
