Gary H. Wilson Sr., 72, of Spencer, IA passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Cobble Creek Assisted Living in Spencer.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in the Northlawn Cemetery in Spencer, IA.

Gary was born on May 19, 1947 in Estherville, IA to Loyd and Lillian (Frink) Wilson. He graduated from Estherville Lincoln Central and earned his associates degree from Iowa Lakes Community College. He worked for Kardell trucking as a Truck Driver. Gary was united in marriage to Yvonne Mackedanz in 1987 in Okoboji. She preceded his in death on March 10, 2018 in Hartley, IA.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching car races, pro wrestling and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his children, Gary (Lindsay) Wilson, Jr. of Spencer; Mark Wilson of Kentucky; Brian Wilson of Indiana; Angie Fullolove of Illinois; Adam Syndergaard of Spencer; Wes Updyke of Greenville; Keith Updyke of Spencer; Jeff Streuli of Spencer and Julie Harmelink-Dwyer of Massachusetts; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister Nancy (Bob) Green of Plainview, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Harvey & Leona Mackendanz, wife Yvonne and son Anthony Syndergaard.
