Steven Charles Beaton, the son of Charles and Eleanor (McIntire) Beaton was born on December 19, 1957 in Cherokee, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Marcus, IA area, where he attended school, graduating from Marcus High School in 1976. After high school he graduated from Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, IA.

Steven moved to Phoenix, AZ for seven years before moving to Spencer, IA in 1990.

He married Bonnie Bradstreet on June 15, 1985 in Cherokee, IA. He worked at Asher Motor Co. until his retirement due to health.

Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, barbecuing and smoking meat, and helping people. He especially liked spending time with his kids, grandkids, and church family. Steven was a member of Spencer Family Church.

Steven passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA, at the age of 57.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Bonnie, of Spencer, IA; 3 children, Stephanie (David) Thiessen, Emily Beaton, and Mariah Beaton, all of Spencer, IA; 3 grandchildren, Maya, Vivienne, and Dakota; his mother, Eleanor of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Lance (Dawn) Beaton of Peoria, AZ; 2 sisters, Marcia Beaton of Glendale, AZ and Sue Sand of Des Moines, IA; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
