Funeral for Mrs. Tarana H. Damerow, 70, of Fostoria was at 1:30 p.m., Monday at the Warner Chapel with the Rev. David Nelson and the Rev. Gary Massey officiating
Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Summit Township of Clay County.
Mrs. Damerow died February 11 at the Longhouse Residence following a long illness.
Active bearers; Henry Sonius, Warren Heikens, Harlan Struben, Dean Rutter, Donald Heikens and Dick Beving
Honorary Bearers; Will Schroeder, George D. and George A. Heikens, John and Reuben Beving and Harvey Miller
Mrs. Damerow was born March 9, 1892 at Abbott, the daughter of Henry and Bertha Heikens Eggers.
She was married March 3, 1915 at Fostoria to Henry Louis Damerow.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and the WSCS
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leo Schueneman and Mrs. Chuck Trullinger of Spencer, three grandchildern, one great-grandchildren; three brothers, Herman of Spencer, Harlan of New Hampton and Mais of Redwood City, California and two sisters, Mrs. Harley Jones and Mrs. Karl Johnson both of Spencer
Mrs. Damerow came to Summit Township as a child and attended the area schools.
After her marriage, she and her husband farmed near Lansing until 1923 when they returned to Summit Township
Mrs. Damerow was preceded by her parents, her husband who died September 4, 1971 and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Eggers Morgan who died February 19, 1969
