Grace Calvert, 98, Ruthven, Iowa, died Saturday, August 1, 1998, at the Ruthven Care Center, Ruthven, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Warner Chapel, Spencer, with the Rev. Doug Dingel officiating.

Casket Bearers; Rev. Dwight Miner, Dale Oppedal, Arnold Tripp, Kelly Miner, Bart Snyder and Lynk Tripp.

Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.

Grace Marie Calvert, the daughter of Elmer and Anna Frederickson Amick, was born March 1, 1900, in Jamesburg, Illinois. She received her early education in country schools around Vermilion County, near Danville, Illinois.

On October 16, 1918, Grace married Kally Calvert in Danville, and following their marriage, they farmed there for three years. They moved to Iowa in 1921 and lived and farmed in the Dickens area until retiring and moving to Ruthven in 1962. Grace had been a resident of the Ruthven Care Center since 1988.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968; her parents; three brothers; four sisters; and two sons-in-law; Albert Miner and Marvin Prichard.

Grace is survived by her two daughters; Margaret Miner and Norma Oppedal, both of Ruthven; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer, Iowa in charge of arrangements.
