September 14, 1998Eugene Beving, 80, Dickens, died Monday, September 14, 1998 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 17 at Warner Chapel, Spencer, with the Rev. L. Kim Eanes officiating.
Casket Bearers; Chuck Beving, Mike Schoning, Jay Schoning, Dean Schoning, Gary Koening
Honorary Casket Bearers; Don Heikens, Larry Flaharty, Doug Johnson, Paul Flaharty, Barry Johnson, Francis Long.
Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.
Eugene Wendell Beving, the son of Dooks and Elma Heikens Beving was born June 5, 1918 in Clay County. His childhood years were spent on the family farm near Fostoria and it was in the country schools near his home that he received his early education.
Eugene moved to the Terril area in the mid 1930's and it was there he farmed for many years, retiring at age 70. He enjoyed collecting frontier items in his leisure time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and six sisters.
Eugene is survived by a sister, Eunice Ebersole of Fostoria.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.
