Services for Marion Clifford Ibel, 78, of rural Spencer will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Warner Chapel. Pastor Harold Lovestrand will officiate.

Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Ibel died December 11 at his home.

Bearers: Floyd Fiedler, Roger Hoberg, Russell King, Oliver Hosteng, Albert Tripp and Don Simmons.

Mr. Ibel was born January 21, 1900 in Poweshiek County, the son of Jacob John and Johanna Margaret (Kimm) Ibel. He received his early education in Calhoun County and Sac County. He moved to Clay County with his parents in 1916 and farmed throughout his life, retiring in 1968.

He was baptized in and a charter member of the New Jerusalem Church.

Survivors include one nephew, Don Ibel of Spencer; one niece, Mrs. Darlen Clark of Oceanside, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
