Two Pioneer Mothers Dead

At three o'clock yesterday morning occurred the death of Mrs. Esther Covert Kimball at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.D. Bisbee, a half mile west of Spencer, death resulting from heart failure. The deceased was sixty-nine years, five months and seven days old at the time of her death.
Miss Esther Covert was born at Pontiac, Michigan March 5, 1850. She was married on December 29, 1869, to Francis Kimball, who died a few years ago. They were married at Portland, Michigan, where they resided for about ten years and in 1880 moved to Clay county and settled on a farm northwest of Spencer and later she came to town.
Mrs. Kimball was a fine woman, with a large circle of friends. She was the mother of two children, Mrs. Elmer D. Bisbee, and Grace, who died in infancy. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Chas. Hunt, who lives in Honduras, Central America, and also two grandchildren.
The funeral of this good woman will be held tomorrow from the Congregational church, the services to be conducted by her nephew, Dr. H.K. Warren, assisted by Rev. A.M. Leichletter, and interment is to be made in Riverside cemetery.
