Timothy Davies, an old pioneer of Clay county died Monday evening, January 15th, 1912, at his home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at the age of seventy years. Mr. Davies was born September 11th, 1841, Park Rose Farm, Llanwenog, Cardiganshire, South Wales, G.B. He came to this county when a young man about twenty-one years of age. At that time he was married and had one child. He came first to Bridewood, Illinois, then he moved to LaSalle, Illinois, and thence to Linn Grove, Iowa. About ten years ago he moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he lived until his death. He is survived by a widow and two sons, Thomas, of Granville, and David, of Linn Grove: also eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. John Davies, his eldest son died three years ago. He leaves besides one brother in Chicago, three brothers and two sisters in Wales.
