--------------------------------

The remains of Miss Mabel Treat, whose death we reported last week, accompanied by the father, arrived in Spencer Friday at 3 p.m. Many friends of Mr. Treat and his deceased daughter assembled at the station to meet them, and the remains were followed to Riverside by a long procession of sad and sympathetic friends. On going to Los Angeles about a year ago, Miss Treat made decided improvement during the winter, gaining in both weight and strength, but toward spring she again began to decline. She was taken to a noted sanitarium, where she had every advantage of treatment, but derived no benefit, the end coming as reported last week. Short services, conducted by Rev. O.M. Bond, pastor of the M.E. church, were held at the cemetery.
