Wm. Huckell Dead

Wm. Huckell, a pioneer of this community died at his home in Sheldon last Sunday after an illness of some little time. Mr. Huckell was well known in Spencer, and had many warm friends. For years he was employed in the different printing offices of the city, and was a good workman. He learned his trade in his younger days, and worked on a number of the leading publications of the country. For several years he was employed on the Breeders Gazette in Chicago.

Mr. Huckell was married twice, his first wife dying about twenty years ago. To this union six children were born, four boys and two girls, three of them being here for the funeral, Wm. and Albert of Sargant county, North Dakota, and Mrs. Minnie Kellog of Downer's Grove, Illinois.

About eight years ago Mr. Huckell was married to Mrs. Longmore who survives him. Mr. Huckell was born in England in May 1847.

The body was brought to Spencer from Sheldon Tuesday morning and the funeral was held from the Methodist church, of which the deceased was a member, in the afternoon, at one o'clock, the services being conducted by Rev. Bond, the interment being in Riverside cemetery.
