Sarah Eva Fogelman, the daughter of Ernest and Vernie (Parcaut) Husted was born on December 2, 1909 on the family homestead near Hartley. She spent her childhood years there, attended the area country school, and went on to graduate from Sutherland High School.

On May 24, 1928, Sarah married her high school sweetheart, Malcolm D. Fogelman, and to this union four children were born.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed helping Mac on the farm. Summers meant visits from the grandchildren, and everyone helped with the chores; whether it was walking beans, gathering eggs, or picking fresh strawberries and peas from the garden.

Sarah was a long time member of the Webb Baptist Church, and actively served in the Women's Circle there.

She entered the Northshire Residence in Spencer in 2001, and remained there until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mac; and a daughter and her husband, Marion and Don Johnson; a granddaughter and her husband, Sherri and Tom Nelson; a great grandson, Todd Nelson; a great grandson, Todd Nelson; a great-grandson, Damen Dau; three sisters; and two brothers.

Sarah is survived by daughters, Betty and Al Jensen of Sutherland, and Marilyn and Paul Braunschweig of Spirit Lake; sons; Burdette and Faith Fogelman of Webb and Ron Fogelman; her many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
