August 25, 2002A funeral service for Charlotte Arndt, 82, of Dickens, will be held at the Warner Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 29, 2002. The Rev. Elliott Bulter III will lead the 10:30 a.m. service.
Arndt died Sunday, August 25, 2002 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital
Casket Bearers; Denny Thomas, Dennis Storey, Dennie Storey, Gary Arndt, Terry Griffin and Danny Leslie.
Honorary Casket Bearers; Mark Macauley, Andt Acerill, Bernard Shirk, Matt Macauley, Daryl Arndt and Earl Taylor
Burial will be at the Dickens Cemetery
Charlotte Ethel Arndt, the daughter of Oren and Pearl (O'Dell) Curry, was born May 5, 1920 in Dickens. Her childhood years were spent in Dickens and later Mount Vernon, South Dakota, where she received her education.
She married LeRoy Otto Arndt on February 14, 1946, in Dickens where she owned the Dickens cafe and worked at A&M Laundry and Cook's Cleaners. She attended Dickens United Methodist Church and was a member of the Spencer Eagles Club
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include one daughter, Carmaletta Nelson of Santa Rosa, California; one son and his wife, Micheal and Kathy Arndt of Ankeny; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Thomas of Spencer; one brother, Arthur Curry of Spencer; one step-sister-in-law, Marlene Averill; other relatives and friends
