Mrs. William Beck died at the Spencer hospital on Wednesday, April 28. Death was due to diabetes.
Sarah Elizabeth Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Brown, was born October 7, 1878 in Pottawattamie county, Iowa and was 47 years, 6 months and 21 days of age. On March 4, 1897 she was married to Wm. Beck at Ayrshire, Iowa. To this union six children were born; Verna Beck of Algona, George Beck of Culver City, California, and Lenord, Erma, Paul and Irwin of Spencer. In 1932 the family moved to their home near Spencer.
Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband, her children and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Mae Wilcox and Mrs. Will Long of Ayrshire, Chas. Brown of Anaheim, Calif., Lou Brown of Mitchell, S. Dak., and George Brown of Spencer.
Mrs. Beck became a member of the First Baptist church of Ayrshire early in life. She has been an active worker in church at Spencer since her residence here.
Funeral services were held from the Baptist church last Saturday afternoon in charge of Rev. F. Webster of Algona and Rev. Roten of Spencer. Burial was made at Riverside.
