Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 11, 2008, at Warner Chapel in Spencer.

Myron (Popps) Samuel Voss, the son of Samuel and Wanda (Steffenhagen) Voss, was born February 8, 1932, in Sibley, IA. As a child, he lived in Rapid City, SD, before moving to Ocheyedan, IA with his family when he was 11 years old. It was there that he received his education, graduating from Ocheyedan High School.

After graduation Myron entered the military in 1951. On May 21, 1953, he was united in marriage to Margaret Ginger in Langdon, IA.

Following his honorable discharge from the military in 1955, they moved to Spencer where he drove truck. In 1961, they moved to Rapid City before returning to Spencer in December of 1978.

Myron was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., and D.A.V. He enjoyed stock car and go-cart races, but most of all he loved being around his family and friends.

On August 6, 2008, Myron passed away unexpectedly at a hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one nephew, Brian Brehmer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Margaret Voss of Spencer, IA; three daughters: Marleen Voss of Spencer, IA, Martha (Randy) Killmer of Spencer, IA, Mary Pollock of Fostoria, IA; two sons: Merle Voss of South Weber, UT, and Marlin (Linda) Voss of Fostoria, IA; one brother, Ray (Beverly) Voss of Spirit Lake, IA; one sister, Marlys Brehmer of Ocheydan, IA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
