Spencer, IowaWilliam (Bill) Albert Swart, the son of Albert J. and Catherine Irene (Reardon) Swart, was born August 2, 1946 in Spencer, Iowa. Bill received his early education and graduated from the South Clay High School in 1965. He then attended Mankato Commercial College in Mankato, MN. Bill served in the National Guard.
On April 1, 1967, Bill married Bonny Noble. Following their marriage, they farmed for 40 years in the Dickens area. Bill served on the Terril School Board for 18 years, coached Little League for several years, worked at the Clay County Fair taking tickets for many years and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Bill dedicated his life to his family and farm, which were his two great passions in life. He also enjoyed running and his cocker spaniels.
Bill passed away on his beloved farm on July 11, 2008 at the age of 61. He is preceded in death by his mother.
Bill is survived by his wife, Bonny; his three sons: Chris and his wife Tammy and their children: Amber & Blake of Kalona, IA, Steve and his children: Catherine & Elizabeth of Spencer, IA and Brent and his friend, Mandy Matuska of Spencer, IA; his daughter, Kim Noethe and her husband Kirk and their children: Corine, Peyton and Samantha of Spencer, IA; his father, Albert Swart of Spencer, IA; his sister, Mary Ann Wassom of Spencer, IA; his mother-in-law, Gwen Noble of Milford, IA; other relatives and many friends.
