Inez Jane Holland, the daughter of Weerth A. and Anna H. (Janssen) Buss, was born March 19, 1927, in Worthington, MN. Her childhood years were spent on a farm in rural Fulda, MN, where she received her education in country schools and later received her GED. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fulda and later the American Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN. She attended Augustana Lutheran College in Sioux Falls, SD, where she majored in music theory. After her schooling, she taught music at the Gurardi School of Music in Osage, IA for two years.

Inez married Earl Byron Holland on May 23, 1959, in rural Fulda, MN. Following their marriage, they spent one year in Worthington until moving to Spencer, IA, in 1961. They owned and operated Earls Shoe Service for many years. She also gave private music lessons in Spencer. They enjoyed wintering in Mesa and to southern California for a few years. She was currently a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.

She passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, IA, on Thursday, February 14, 2008, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl in 2000; and one sister.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cheryl Stueven and her husband, Richard of Spencer, IA; two grandchildren: Cassandra and Nicole Stueven of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.
