Dale Morris Belken was born to Charles Dewey Belken and Geneva Merinda Woods on March 18, 1940 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He lived in that area until moving to Spencer in 1961.

In 1961, he married Eula Marie Utley on April 7, 1961. They lived in Spirit Lake, Iowa for three months where he worked at Berkleys Fly until he was laid off.

Dale held various jobs until 1965; he then got a job with the City of Spencer where he worked for 34 years. He lived in Spencer, Iowa until 1984. He then moved to Lost Island Lake in Ruthven, Iowa. Dale passed away at home after a five-month fight with cancer.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Morris; one daughter, Joan; one brother, Duane; one sister, Darlene Reeves; five brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Eula; one son, Tony; two granddaughters, Kristina and Kayla; and one great granddaughter, Caitlynn; four sisters: Betty Smith of Milford, IA, Sherri and Don Dare of Big Fork, MN, Sevilla and Craig Tvedte of Okoboji, IA, and Barb and Dave Haagenson of Spirit Lake, IA; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many, many friends.
