Janet Joan Beck, 55, died Friday January 23, 1998, at her home near Greenville.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 26, at 1 p.m. at the Congregational Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Tonna Parsons officiating.

Casket Bearers; Bev Corkery, Deb Chapman, Judy Ewald, Paula Radke, Brenda Koenig and Dana Broesder.

Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery, Greenville, with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.

Janet Joan Beck, the daughter of Herbert Ackley and Florence Arms, was born January 11, 1943 in Spencer. Her childhood years were spent in the Milford area where she received her education and graduated from high school.

Throughout her adult life she lived in the Spencer area working as an apartment manager, bookkeeper for Hahn Roofing and dispatcher for Chapman Trucking. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose.

Ms. Beck was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother; two brothers; Ron Arms and his wife, Jeanette, of Camanche; Russ Arms and his wife, Sharon of Spencer; two daughters; Michelle Cross and her husband, Steven of Crescent City, California; and Christy May and her husband Kenneth of Canute, Oklahoma; one son Dan Steffe of Kansas City, Missouri; one step-son, Mike Smidt of Milford; and two step-daughters; Brenda Nattress of Milford and Kelly Beck.
