March 6, 1906-July 18, 1996

Alice Craig, 90, of Spencer, formerly of Langdon, died Thursday, July 18, 1996, at Northshire Residence in Spencer.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, at 11 a.m., at Warner Chapel, Spencer, with the Rev. Kim Eanes officiating.

Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly, with the Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.

Mary Alice Craig, the daughter of B.R. and Cora (Boots) Tatman, was born March 6, 1906, in Lyons County, Kansas. Her childhood years were spent in Storm Lake where she received her early education, graduating from Arnold Park High School. She later attended college in Cedar Falls.

She married Lloyd Craig on September 30, 1925 in Jackson, Minnesota. She made her home in Langdon and was the postmaster there for many years. She was a longtime member of the Langdon Methodist Church and had been active in the Woman's Society. She was a charter member of athe Spencer Senior Center.

Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers.

She is survived by three sons; Dwayne Craig and his wife, Charlene of Spencer; Marvin Craig and his wife, Kaleen, of Okoboji; and David Craig and his wife, Nora, of Florissant, Missouri; three daughters, Joan Tuffs of Mitchell, South Dakota; Jeanette Trent and her husband, Dee of VanAlstyne, Texas; and Natalie Richards and her husband, Don of Clearwater, Florida; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
