Mrs. Ben Geerdes nee Laura Block
September 20, 1902 - June 21,1928

Mrs. Ben Geerdes of Everly, Iowa died at her home southwest of Everly, Thursday evening, June 21, 1928, at 8:30 o'clock after a lingering illness from tuberculosis. She was 25 years, 9 months and 1 day of age at the time of her death.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon of this week at the home at 1:30 o'clock and at the Lutheran Church in Everly at two o'clock. The Rev. Swyter, Pastor of the Lutheran Church of George, Iowa officiated. Interment was made in Lone Tree Cemetery.

Mrs. Geerdes, who was Miss Laura Block before her marriage, was born September 20, 1902 at Rock Rapids, Iowa. At he age of nine she went with her parents to Butler County, Iowa, where she lived until she was married December 6, 1926 to Ben Geerdes. One year was spent at George, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband and a little daughter, Iola Jean, also her father and other relatives and many friends who regret to her her early death.
