Mary Jane Winn of Terril Dies March 11; Rites Tuesday

Mrs. Mary Jane Winn, widow of J. M. Winn, died Sunday, March 11, at her home in Terril. She was 83 years, four months and eleven days of age. Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Cobb funeral home with Rev. B. J. Trickey, pastor of the Congregational church, in charge. Interment was in Riverside cemetery. A family service at the home was held with Rev. A. E. Overton officiating.

Mary Jane Kratzer, eighth child of John and Margaret Kratzer, was born October 30, 1850, at Galena, Ill. When a small child her parents moved to Central City, Iowa, which was her home until her marriage to J. M. Winn January 25, 1872, at Central City.

To this union six children were born, Margaret Lestina Jackson of Langdon, Cora Adell Winn at home, John Lester who died in 1882, Blanche Matilda Stephenson of Spirit Lake, Lavona Hazel Wilmot of Marshalltown, and Roy Harold Winn of Spirit Lake.

Mrs. Winn is a former member of the Spencer Christian church. Upon her taking up her residence at Spirit Lake, she affiliated with the Baptist church.
