Martin Rosenberger Dead

When it was known Friday morning that Martin V. Rosenberger was dead, it seemed almost untrue, for no later than the evening before he had been down in his apparent good health and happy disposition, but he was taken sick last Thursday night about midnight and died at four o'clock, the cause of the death being heart failure.

Mr. Rosenberger was born at Tiffen, Ohio, in August 1844. When quite young he came to Jones county, Iowa, and that was his home until about twelve years ago when they came to this county, and have resided here since. He was married in October 1871 to Martha Robison and to them eight children were born, all living and all present at the funeral.

Mr. Rosenberger was an upright man in all his dealings. He was of a jovial and happy disposition, kind and accommodating. For years he had been a faithful member of the M.E. church. In his death we fell the loss of a friend.

The funeral was held last evening at four o'clock at the home in North Spencer. The body was taken this morning to Ladora, Iowa, their old home, for burial.
