Mrs. Rasmine C. Rasmussen, 81 years of age, died Thursday morning, February 25, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Mathisen, In Rossie, where she had made her home for several years. Death was due to senility.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Cobb-Phelps Funeral chapel in Spencer and at 2:30 in the Danish Lutheran church at Royal. Rev. A. F. Anderson, Lutheran pastor of Royal, was in charge of the services. Burial was made at the Willow Creek cemetery near Royal.

Rasmine C. Rasmussen was born June 4, 1850, in Fyn, Denmark. In 1882 she came to America where she was united in marriage March 30, 1882, to Peter Rasmussen in Clay county, Iowa. The couple continued to make their home in Clay county on a farm until in 1912 when they moved to Royal. After the death of her husband in 1928, Mrs. Rasmussen made her home with her children.

She was a kind and loving mother, and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a lifelong member of the Danish Lutheran church.

She leaves to mourn her death five daughters, Mrs. Albert Andersen of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Albert Freeburg of Walnut Grove, Minnesota, Mrs. Edward Hendricksen of Royal, Mrs. Alfred Andersen of Royal, Mrs. E. A. Mathisen of Rossie, and 21 grandchildren.
