James Byggere Gone
James C. Jensen Byggere was born at Grand Crossing, Chicago, on April 5, 1882 and died March 1st, 1915, aged 32 years, 11 months and 26 days. His father having died when James was only three years old, his mother moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa in 1885 and came to Clay County in 1887, where he has since made his home. He was married
May 19, 1909, to Miss Sena Anderson, of Cedar Falls, Iowa. To this union three children were born--Elmer, aged four; Harvey, aged three and Clarence, aged eighteen months. In early manhood he engaged in the carpenter business, but about eight years ago he entered the emply of the Royal Lumber Company, as manager of their local yard. He continued in this capacity until last fall, when failing health compelled him to resign, to the great regret of the company and patrons.
It is sad that a young man, just entering upon a career of usefulness, should be taken away, but James Byggere leaves behind him an unblemished name and fine record for industry and integrity. He will be missed from among us, not only by his family, thus early deprived of a husband and father, but by entire community.
He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and three sons, his mother, Mrs. Fred Byggere; one brother, H.H. Byggere; a half sister, Mrs. Agnes Johnson; and a foster brother, Henry Byggere. And uncle, Peter Miller, of Hampton, Iowa, has been at his bedside the past week.
The funeral will be held this morning from the Danish Lutheran Church.
