Lillian Jessen Fisher, 1895-1927

Mrs. Earl Fisher of Vermillon, Alberta, Canada, died at Ponoka, Canada June 14, 1927, at the age of thirty-two years, one month and twenty days, after an illness of three weeks.

Lillian Christian Jessen was born April 24, 1895, at Everly, Iowa. She lived with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jessen, on a farm near Everly until her marriage to Earl A. Fisher of Everly, December 31, 1916. They made their home on a farm near Choteau, Canada for two years, after which they moved to Vermillion, where she lived until her death.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Earl A. Fisher; three children, Lowell Alexander, aged nine, Lois Lillian, aged five, and Bernard Henry, aged three; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jessen of Everly, a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Lavina Guenther and Frank and George Jessen, of near Everly, and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Fisher was a devoted wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her.

The remains were brought to Everly and funeral services were held at the Everly Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Goeken, pastor of the Lutheran church at Melvin. Interment was made at Lone Tree cemetery. The body was accompanied to Everly by Mr. Fisher and children and Mrs. George Jessen.
