Mrs. Resseguie rites Wednesday

Funeral for Mrs. Flaurette T. Resseguie, 80, 319 W. 18th St., Spencer, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from Warner Chapel in Spencer. Dr. Fred Schultz will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery in Spencer. There will be an Eastern Star service followed by a service by Evening Shade Chapter 612 of Terril. Robert Norris will sing "Peace in the Valley" and "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied by Mrs. William Wendlandt at the organ. Bearers will be Vaughn Fletcher, Randy Flectcher, Gary Lundstrom, Sam Noel, Earl Todd, Bob Todd, Harold Todd, and Leon Todd.

Mrs. Resseguie died Saturday at Spencer Municipal hospital. She was born April 5, 1892, at Holstein to Robert and Jenny Pottiger Todd. On Dec. 30, 1914, she was married to George S. Resseguie at Ida Grove. They moved to Spencer 39 years ago from Terril. Mrs. Resseguie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; past Worthy Matron and 50-year member of Evening Shade Chapter 612 at Terril. She was District Musician of the VFW Auxiliary for a number of years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist church and of Circle 8 of the Women's Society of Christian Service. Surviving are her widower, George; three daughters, Mrs. Cy (Ruth) Pullen of Keystone, S. D.; and twins, Mrs. Harry (Joan) Noel Jr., of Spencer and Mrs. June Fletcher of Royal; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Matt Todd of Ida Grove.
