Sunday morning, April 26, at her home in this city, occurred the death of Mrs. Emily E. Ferris, aged 58 years. She was the widow of D. M. Ferris, who died November 12, 1894, and had but recently been called upon to mourn the death of her mother and a brother. She was a lady whose character was such as to entitle her to the respect of all who knew her. Her four brothers, who with her sister, Mrs. E. H. Shelton of this city, constitute the remaining members of the family, are here to attend the last sad rites to be held from the M. E. church this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. S. Snyder.
