Funeral for Floyd (Chub) Eldon Jones, 57, of Dickens will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Warner Chapel with Rev. Ivan Maxson officiating. Burial will be at Dickens Cemetery.
Mr. Jones died Saturday at the Spencer Municipal Hospital. He had been in failing health for several years.
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Sandvig will sing "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross" at the Tuesday rites. Bearers are Leonard Beck, Bernard Culver, George Peters, Aaron Endicott, Bruce Crane and Everett Williams.
Mr. Jones was born March 12, 1911 at Terrill, the son of James and Bessie Jones. He was married April 5, 1933, to the former Hazel DuBois at Yankton, S.D.
He had spent all his life as a Dickens resident. He was employed by the Dickens elevator and also had a service station business.
He is survived by his widow, Hazel; one daughter, Mrs. Jack Hanrick of Webb; four grandchildren; three brothers, Reed of Spencer, Hubert of Dickens and Frank of Sacramento, Calif. and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Algers of Spencer and Mrs. Frank Tielbur of Spence.
Friends may call at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
