The funeral services for the late Philip Ross Melius of Dickens who died at the Fort Dodge hospital on January 29 were conducted by Rev. W.H. Nye, pastor of the Dickens Congregational church at the church Thursday afternoon, February 1, 1923. During the services all the business houses of Dickens were closed. He was buried in the Dickens cemetery.
