Mrs. Ericson Dies Feb. 24 at Willmar, Minn.; Burial in Lone Tree Cemetery
EVERLY, Ia.--Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, March 2? from the Cobb Funeral Home for Mrs. William Ericson, 47, of Willmar, Minn., former resident of Everly whose death occurred Saturday February 24, following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Ericson had been in failing health for several weeks. Saturday, February 24, she was taken to the Willmar hospital and operated upon for gall stones, in a final attempt to save her life but it was of no avail. Death cam two hours following the operation.
The body was brought to Spencer last Friday for services which were in charge of Rev. A.H. Geake of Hope Lutheran church in Everly. Burial was made in Lonetree cemetery at Everly.
Surviving are her husband, three children, Miss Doris, Miss Ruth and Francis, her mother, Mrs. Frank Myers, of St. Paul, Minn., two sisters, Mrs. J.O. Ericson and Mrs. Catherine Coates of St. Paul, two brothers, George Myers of Willmar, Minn., and Frank Myers of Hartley, Ia., other relatives and a host of friends.
Inez Maude Myers was born June 18, 1866, at Lanark, Ill. At the age of 15 years, she came with her parents to northwestern Iowa and they settled on a farm two miles northwest of Everly. August 1, 1905, she was united in marriage to Emil Ericson of Everly. To this union were born two children, Ruth and Francis.
March 9, 1919, the father died at Lake Wilson, Minn., and July 6, 1922, she was united in marriage to William Ericson, a brother of her former husband.
To this union one daughter, Miss Doris was born. The family lived at Wook Lake, Minn., for nine year and in 1931 moved to Willmar, which place had since their home.
