Lola Gloetzel Wenetta, 1913-2003

Lola G. Wenetta, 90, of Spencer, formerly of Royal, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003 at St. Lukes Lutheran Home in Spencer. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 19 at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. Father Linnan will officiate the 10 a.m. service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, in Spencer.

Lola G. Wenetta, the daughter of John and Inga Halverson Gloetzel, was born April 3, 1913, in Marathon. After her graduation from high school, she attended Business college and majoring in electronics as a technician.

On Oct. 6, 1956, Lola married Edward Wenetta in Los Angeles, Calif., and following their marriage, they lived in Los Angeles until 1981. She worked for Douglas Air Craft as an electronics technician for over 8 years before moving to Des Moines, and then Royal in 1990.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer, and the American Legion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, 4 year old Marjorie and another daughter, Alison.

Mrs. Wenetta is survived by her daughter, Billie Reams of Tulsa,Okla.; 2 grandchildren; two brothers: Eugene Gloetzel of Hawaii; Darrel Gloetzel of Baja, Mexico; one sister, Eleanor Kraut of Encinada, Calif.; other relatives and friends.
