Emma Thompson was born in Warren Co., Illinois on May 17, 1869 and died June, 1922, age 53 years and 24 days.

Moved to Jasper Co. when a small child.

Married Simeon B. Buckingham August 16, 1892. In 1914 they moved 3 miles northeast of Spencer, Iowa.

Four children, two died in infancy. Living are Edwin and Ryamond of near Spencer. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Martha Thompson of Monroe, Iowa, a sister, Mrs. L. Banks of Monroe, and two brothers Samuel Thompson of Mercedes, Texas and Charles Thompson of Spokane, Washington.

Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
